One sip of this Mango Mocktail and you’ll be transported to paradise. I make it simply with mango pulp or juice, lime juice and sparkling water. Just 5 minutes and you have the perfect refreshing drink that’s worthy of a summer garden party.

Got 5 Minutes? Make This Mango Mocktail

This is the kind of drink I make when I want something quick but still full of flavour. It comes together in minutes, but tastes fresh, vibrant and just the right amount of sweet.

It’s all about keeping things simple. Good mango flavour (I use either mango juice or fresh mango pulp), a bit of citrus to lift it (I love fresh lime), and something fizzy to bring it all together. Nothing too complicated.

I’ve made this more times than I can count, especially in warmer weather or when I need something quick for guests.

I like to serve it well chilled with a few easy snacks on the side. Something like spicy Mexican roasted peanuts, crisp air fryer plantain chips, freshly made onion bhajis or even some golden air fryer triple cooked chips.

It turns into that perfect low-effort, put-it-all-out-and-let-people-help-themselves kind of spread.

Cheers! x

Ingredients

Mango

I have two options. When I can, I prefer using fresh mango pulp because I always follow the mantra: fresh is best! The pulp is rich and carries lots of flavour that doesn’t dilute. Mango juice of course works really well too. You just need to add a little more juice to fizz to keep the flavours.

Mango pulp is thicker than the juice, so adjust the amount of fizz you add.

If you find your mango isn’t that sweet, or you just want a sweeter mocktail, add white sugar.

Lime juice – I use freshly squeezed as the flavour is so much fresher but at a pinch bottled works too.

Soda – sparkling water or club soda works really well. I prefer keeping the fizz plain so it doesn’t interact with the mango flavour.

Mint – a few muddled mint leaves release a freshness that works wonders with the mango. Do not over muddle as the drink will become bitter.

Optional addition:

A little edgy, but I’ve tried it once and it was amazing! Add a pinch of chaat masala to the mocktail – I do it in masala soda and the surprise zing is bound to get your guests talking!

Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint leaves and a slice of lime.

Serve the mango mocktails immediately and enjoy!

If preparing for a large number of guests, prepare the mango, lime and mint concoction in a jug.

When ready to prepare, pour into a glass until about 1/3 full. Top with the soda water just before serving.
