2 minute Soda Chaas - a refreshing Indian drink made with yogurt, spices and sparkling water. A cooling hot weather drink that you might just love all year round!

A Savoury Spritz for Heavier meals
After my everyday meals, masala chaas made with chaas powder is non negotiable.
I reserve this fizzy soda chaas for when I'm eating something a bit more indulgent as it cuts through the richness better. Think deep fried pakora like methi corn bhajia or a spicy samosa chaat.
You can serve it similar to how you would masala soda - with rich curries, chaat or Indian street food or snacks.

Ingredients notes
Be sure to check out the full recipe and exact ingredient list below in the recipe card.
Yogurt - I use plain yogurt that isn't too tart.
Sparkling water or club soda - I find that club soda is a bit more fizzy than sparkling water but I use both interchangeably.
Cumin seeds - I like to dry roast these in a pan and then crush to release all the beautiful flavour that's locked in.
Black pepper - I like using freshly cracked black pepper.
Salt - a pinch of salt.
For serving - chopped mint and coriander leaves
