Spiced Almonds
Ingredients
- 2 cup raw almonds
- 4 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoon dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder or flakes
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Place the almonds in a large frying pan over medium heat and dry roast for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly golden and fragrant.
- Meanwhile, combine the butter, brown sugar, rosemary, black pepper, chilli flakes, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Immediately add the hot roasted almonds to the bowl and toss well until evenly coated and the butter has melted.
- Serve warm or allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- Fresh rosemary gives the best flavour, but dried rosemary can be used in a pinch.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
