Shakkaria no Siro, a Gujarati sweet delicacy prepared on fasting days. So simple to prepare yet so delicious with delicate and unique flavour. Generally this Siro made with Boiled sweet potato, sugar and milk and flavoured with few aromatic spices but I love to make Shakkaria no Siro very rich by adding khoya to it.

You will need :-
- 250 g sweet potato ( I have used Orange flesh sweet potato )
- 75 g khoya
- 1 tbsp. homemade desi ghee
- 75 g sugar
- Pinch cardamom and nutmeg powder
- Chopped nuts to garnish
Method :-
Either boil or cook sweet potato in M/W until done.
Peel the skin and mash the sweet potato.
In a kadai fry khoya for few minutes, remove and leave it aside.
Heat ghee in same kadai, add mashed sweet potato and fry for couple of minutes.
Now add sugar and cook until sugar water evaporates.
Add fried khoya and mix well.
Fry the mixture for couple of minutes.
Add cardamom and nutmeg powder, mix and turn off the heat.
Garnish with the chopped nuts.
Serve hot or cold.
Enjoy !!
