Prepare to rush to the store to buy cassava after reading this post! Boiled mogo is cooked with curry leaves and crushed green chillies then topped with crunchy roasted peanuts. It's the perfect fasting recipe but you'll be craving it all year round.

I LOVE mogo. That's my confession. So much so that my Mum used to make all sorts of dishes with it. Not only the usual stuff like fried mogo chips but mogo vada and this smoky tandoori mogo just to name a few.
This farali mogo recipe follows the same steps as our potato peanut bhaji and colourful ratalu sabji. It's pretty simple but tastes absolutely delicious!
We usually serve it as it is, but sometimes with farali rajgira kadhi. But it also works as part of a vrat thali with a side such as farali muthiya and a milky dessert like makhana kheer. Occasionally we add an easy drink like strawberry lassi.

I love yucca! I used to eat it as a kid, steamed with a little sesame sugar. This recipe is full of wonderful spices, it would be a nice change to the simple dish I used to love. 🙂 Also, your photo is gorgeous!

I have never tried cassava, but this dish looks fabulous (great photos, too)! I'm one of those coriander people who would have to replace it with parsley! Would look as pretty as yours, still! 🙂
