WHAT IS CHILLI PANEER

Chilli Paneer is prepared with Paneer ( Indian cottage cheese ) and lots of spicy fresh green chillies. Deep fried or shallow fried paneer is coated in a spicy chilli and soy sauce mixture.

Anything made out of paneer tastes lovely whether it is savoury or sweet. In my house, paneer goes really well. Most of the time I do keep paneer in my fridge. I always look out for new paneer recipes, although CHILLI PANEER is our all-time favourite!

MY KIDS FAVOURITE CHILLI PANEER

I came to know about chilli paneer years ago when someone ordered it as a take away in front of me in the queue. So, basically, I was being nosy. Then I asked the girl at the till what dish is this? She told me it's a hugely popular Indo-Chinese dish that has taken over India by a storm and here ( in the UK) is gaining its popularity as well. So, I ordered a takeaway, and while driving back home both children started to eat Chilli Paneer in the car there and then. They then sweetly offered us the takeaway carton when we got home but only the green chillies were left! Since then Chilli Paneer has become our favourite take away and kids find any excuse to go to that particular restaurant to enjoy their style of Chilli Paneer!

From this particular restaurant in London, they have this unique recipe of Chilli Paneer and we love that the most. I tried to make at home, after many many trials and error I think I have mastered it and my children love this recipe.
