DEGUSTA BOX MAY 2019

How is it already June?! With the turn of each month, I feel like the year is just slipping by! However, the one good thing about a new month is another DegustaBox!! Let's open the box...

DEGUSTABOX MAY 2019 REVIEW

Koko Dairy Free SUPER milk - £1.99

A new dairy free milk by koko. It is enriched with 9 vitamins and minerals and can be drunk by toddlers up to seniors. I loved this milk - it tastes very similar to evaporated milk and has a similar consistency too - very creamy. We were sent two of these.

Daelmans Duo Stroopwafels - £1.29

I've seen caramel wafers around but never tried them before. Thanks to Degustabox I now know what I've been missing out on. A tasty waffle is filled with caramel. I had one with tea and it was perfect - not overly sweet.

Milkybar Mix Ups - £0.69

Milky bar roulette! These packets contain white chocolate buttons with a cocoa filling and milk choc buttons with a milky filling.

Shore Sea salt & balsamic and Thai Chilli - £1.19 each

Vegan snacks - hooray! These healthy seaweed snacks are nutritious and tasty under 100 cal per pack. I especially liked the Thai Chilli flavour

Bravura Foods Free from Fellows Midget Gems - £1.99

We don't tend to eat jelly sweets too often but it's always on the lookout for vegan jelly sweets and know the option is there. These jelly sweets are great because they are sugar free, gluten free, gelatine and dairy free. These would be great to give to kids who have various food allergies.

Indie Bay Pretzel Bites - £1

These pretzels a greta source of protein and fibre in less than 100 cal per portion. They are vegan too! These were a great snack in front of the tele.

Splenda Sweet Minis - £1.50

Splenda is a great alternative to sugar as each Splenda mini has the same sweetness as a teaspoon of sugar but without the calories. This low cal sweetner is derived from sucrose and is a smart way to reduce sugar whilst still enjoying sweet treats. We added these to coffee and couldn't notice the difference.

Hellmann's Vegan Mayo - £2.15

This jar is EXACTLY what we needed now that BBQ season is around the corner. My mum doesn't eat egg so always avoids mayo and now she can enjoy the taste guilt-free. This mayo is a great source of omega 3 and has a very similar taste to the original Hellmann's Mayonnaise.

Fruity Beauties Organic & Fairtrade snack bars - £1.50

These fairtrade and organic bars are high in fibre and count towards your 5-a-day. These were really tasty and was a perfect mid-morning pick me up during a busy day.

Firefly Drinks Lemon, Lime and Ginger - £1.55

These botanical drinks are crafted from still water, fruit juice and active botanicals. The drink only contains naturally occurring sugars, no colours or preservatives. They are vegan too! Personally, I found the taste quite strong and took time to get used to but I'm sure some people will like it.

Oteas Black Tea & Apricot - £3.75

This black tea is infused with apricot to create a light, fruity beverage. The ingredients are fully sourced and are delivered in a biodegradable bag. These teas can be enjoyed hot or cold. I loved the packaging of these teas and I think would work great as a gift too. I don't really drink herbal or fruity teas but I could be converted with these!

Real Good Ketchup Smokey BBQ - £2.49

I was very happy when I saw we had received another item from Real Good Ketchup because I LOVED their normal ketchup and now it is the only ketchup I'll eat. This product is new to the range and is made with natural Hickory & Oak smoked water from Tennessee. The ketchup also contains 80% less sugar than regular ketchups. This ketchup was nice but I preferred the original compared to the Smokey BBQ.

We also received Kuhne Whisky Cornichons and Gin Cornichons and La Gioiosa Prosecco. As these are alcoholic, we did not review these products.
