Eggless, Butterless Cream Cheese Chocolate Brownies turned out spot on, they were delightful, fudgy and moist. No one in the family could resist these rich and dense brownies with cream cheese filling, boy wolfed down about 4-5 pieces in one go and so did sister and dad too :) Every one said: "Okay not very artistic swirly designs, but the Proof was in the Pudding "!
and it was a happy dancing time for me  :)

Eggless Cream Cheese Chocolate Brownies

Eggless, Butterless, dense and rich brownies swirled with Cream Cheese batter!
prep time: 15 Mcook time: 1 hourtotal time: 1 H & 15 M

ingredients:

  • 200 ml light Greek yogurt
  • 180 g cream cheese - Philadelphia
  • 100 g self - raising flour
  • 3 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 225 g  regular sugar
  • 100 g dark chocolate chips
  • 75 g walnuts chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • pinch or 1/8 tsp. baking powder

instructions:

How to cook Eggless Cream Cheese Chocolate Brownies

  1. Beat together the cheese, 50 g sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla until smooth, then set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to gas mark 4.Lightly grease a 20cm-8inch square baking tin and line the base.
  3. Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and keep aside in a mixing bowl.
  4. Now combine yogurt, remaining sugar and vanilla and leave it aside.
  5. Place dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl, either use M/W to melt or use a double boiler method.
  6. Add melted chocolate and yogurt mixture and combine well.
  7. Add chocolate and yogurt mixture into the sifted flour mix.
  8. Tip in the nuts mix.
  9. Pour the half brownie batter into a greased and lined baking tin and smooth the top.
  10. Carefully spread the cheese mixture over it, then cover it with the remaining brownie mixture.
  11. Use a palette knife to swirl the two mixtures together gently.
  12. Bake it for 55-60 minutes, yes it takes that much time.
  13. Remove it from the oven, let it cool and cut into pieces.
  14. Serve it with a cuppa or dust little icing sugar and strawberries.
  15. Enjoy!
