In Gujarat we have a custom to eat Fafda and Jalebi on this day. But, today I will have Churma Ladoo with fafda..I know it's strange combination !!
Churma ladoos are delightful and rich in taste and mostly everyones favourite. Making churma ladoo from scratch is a hard and tedious job. I've prepared this ladoos in M/W less than 10 minutes, can't believe it, huh? Try it out yourself and let me know ...
You will need:-
- 1 cup chapatti flour
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup gram flour ( besan )
- 3/4 cup grated Jeggery
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup melted ghee + 1 tbsp
- 2 tbsp Almond Saffron masala
- 2 tbsp khus khus ( white poppy seeds )
- 1 cup milk
Place both flours and semolina on microwave proof bowl.
Add milk, oil and ghee, mix very well.
Cover the bowl with lid and put in the M/W.
Set M/W for 7 minutes on High ( mine shows 100 )
Cook ladoo mixture for 7 minutes, keep stir in between.
Now add grated jeggery mix well and cook for another minute.
Add caster sugar, almond masala and 2 tbsp ghee.
Mix very well, take little amount of cooked ladoo mixture and make a ball.
Roll ladoo in khus khus.
