A delicately sweet, which melts in your mouth, made with only a few ingredients but identified with every Indian all over the world !!
It takes less than half an hour and the easiest method of all time. You can check out Ricotta Cheese Peda , Tri Colour Peda and Mango Peda !!
Serve at any occasion and see them devoured by your guests. These pedas can be given as a gift, pack them in a decorative box lined with waxed tissue paper with a note that these pedas are best consumed within a week-if they are even around that long !!

You will need:-
- 250 g Mawa or Khoya
- 100 g Sugar
- 50 ml cream ( I used double cream) at room temperature
- 1/2 tsp saffron threads
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp Almond and Pistachio slivers
Place saffron threads in cream and leave aside.
Put Mawa, sugar and saffron cream in M/W proof bowl and microwave for 4 minutes. Keep mixing in between.
Take out the bowl and mix well, once again microwave for 3 minutes and keep mixing in between.
Remove bowl from microwave, you can see mawa mixture getting dry and crumbley, now add cardamom powder and mix well.
Let it cool a little, knead the mixture while is slightly warm. Make round peda or your desired shape and garnish with almonds and pistachio slivers.
I arranged them in decorative tiny cupcake foils.
