Masterclass with Stacie Stewart, thanks to AnchorDairy!

Made n Enjoyed
Hello readers,

How many times have you entered a competition to win something but that horrible voice in your head is telling you that you are never going to win it?! I bet you're all nodding and smiling at your screens right now! Imagine then to my surprise, when I received an email from AnchorDairy telling me that I'd won a chance for me and a friend to participate in a baking master class with none other than Stacie Stewart. She reached the finale of Masterchef 6 and worked on This Morning, Saturday Cook and many other programmes - the latest being Food Glorious Food. Yes, I know! I couldn't believe it either! Out of all of the hopefuls in the UK, only 8 people had been selected. As soon as I opened my mouth about winning this chance, my daughter reserved her entry :)

The master class was held at Cactus Studios in Clapham where many hit food shows like Saturday Kitchen, Madhur Jaffrey's Curry Nation, Rachel Allen's Bake and others have been filmed.

As we arrived, we were taken up to the "Green Room" for tea and coffee which surprisingly was white and very plush! Soon enough, we met Stacie in one of the studio rooms! She had her signature beehive! We sat down opposite her as she began showing us how to make her first recipe which would be a dessert. We then went to our individual workstations and began making the same recipe. Again, after we had finished, we made a savoury cookie.

While we were cooking and baking there were camera crew recording our shows and interviews and taking loads of photos. Mostly everyone was very shy to face the camera, we were all looking for a corner to hide :). In the end we all gave interviews and our opinions about the our experience...felt like we were the celebrities!

The recipe that I enjoyed making the most was an Apple and Cinnamon Crumble Cake. The flavours of the cake were fantastic and I couldn't wait to go home and show my family what I had made! It was a hit with everyone!
Watch this space, for a yummy Apple and Cinnamon Crumble Cake recipe!

Thank you Anchor Butter for this opportunity and for also making sure we didn't leave empty handed - the goody bag containing a Food Glorious Food cookbook is sure to be on my kitchen shelf!

The greatest good you can do for another ,is not just share your riches, but reveal to them their own.
