Announcing an Event ~ Celebrate Sweets-Pedha and Home Remedies # 3 Round Up !!

Joyful and Thrilled  as always, announcing my 3rd event...Thank you very much Nivedita of Nivedita's kitchen in giving me this opportunity to host" Celebrate Sweets" event this month..as soon as I saw Nivedita announced her event I decided that I want to host this event too, but what would be the theme?....Pedha !! or some call peda or penda....

Pedha is the king of all Indian sweets and and one of the most popular sweet amongst the Indian...It is a invitable sweet for any Indian, that is fun for them to make as well as it is eaten...any type of happy occasion and you want to share your happiness with others, Pedhas come first...if there is wedding announcement or a new arrival in the family..either you buy a new car or your family members gets an achievment..you need pedha and so on...And if it celebration of Janmashtami, people definitely make this milk sweet dish as Lord Krishna loved milk, butter and milk products...or if you are a person like me, just to treat your tongue you eat pedha middle of the night...:D
Or you can just ask your hubby " Do you think is there any sweet shop open now?"

Peda or Pera (Urdu: پیڑا, Hindi: पेड़ा, pronounced [ˈpeːɽaː], Marathi: पेढा) is a sweet from the Indian subcontinent, usually prepared in thick, semi-soft pieces. The main ingredients are khoa, sugar and traditional flavorings, including cardamom seeds, pistachio nuts and saffron. The color varies from a creamy white to a caramel colour. The word pera is also generically used to mean a blob of any doughy substance, such as flour or (in the case of the sweet) khoa.(source : Wikipedia)
